Gourmet Coffee House is the open door to a new coffee world experience. Since November 17th 1998, we have provided our loyal customers and friends with a wide variety of coffees for personal use and for gifts, as well as espressos and espresso-based preparations. Gourmet Coffee House started due to a young entrepreneur Panamanian couple who believed the best coffee of Panama is great, complex, and for enjoyment. After a short process of improvement in our facility, we are again, offering basic products and coffee-based beverages with some pastry. From next month on, the new VIP Coffee Club will be open. WTC Santo Domingo visited WTC Panama

Dr. Luis Enrique Fajardo from World Trade Center Santo Domingo visited the WTC Panama Complex in June and met with executive director Mr. Remy Swaab. During the meeting Dr. Fajardo stated his interest in working closely with WTC Panama and its members. WTC Santo Domingo is a one of the younger members of the World Trade Center Association and Dr. Luis Enrique Fajardo wanted to connect with WTC Panama to strengthen the relation between both WTC’s. WTC Santo Domingo is working on a large scale project where 2 multimodal buildings are being constructed in the capital of the Dominican Republic. CIFIT 2015 in China

China will celebrate this year its 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade, CIFIT. The world's most prestigious international investment exposition will be held on Sep.8-11, 2015 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC), China. CIFIT will not only comprehensively display the investment environments, policies, projects and corporate products in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, but also attracts investment promotion agencies from more than 40 countries and regions. At the same time, CIFIT provides overseas investors with comprehensive knowledge of the investment environment and policies, prospective projects and achievements in China and creates opportunities for introducing advanced technologies, management skills and specialized personnel from abroad.

Panama first Central American country with FIATA certificate

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), representing approximately 40,000 companies in the transportation and logistics sector is granting its certificate to the Panamanian Association of Cargo Agents (APAC). The association is currently working with a Train the Trainers program (TOT) to educate personnel in logistics and supply chain management under the guidance of FIATA. Apart from Chile and Mexico, Panama is the only Latin American country to work with their certificate. More information

Foreign Investment in Panama increases

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Panama is growing due to Panama’s geographical location, its sustained economic growth and high profitability from public and private projects. Investors mainly operate in the hotel, banking, real estate, electric, retail and manufacturing sectors. Together they amounted for a total of 1.7 billion USD in the first quarter of 2015, a growth of 415.5 million USD compared to the same period in 2014. The increase in FDI is due to "investors' confidence in Panama and its favorable outlook, thanks to the country's strategic location, steady growth and high rates of return on public and private projects being developed domestically," the Economy and Finance Ministry said in a statement.

"Panama offers favorable conditions for the reinvestment of foreign investors' profits, and the volume of additional investments is a solid vote of confidence on the business climate and Panamanian institutions," the ministry's director for social and economic analysis, Rogelio Alvarado, said. Foreigners have pumped $11.21 billion into the Panamanian economy over the past three years, Alvarado said. More information
